In 1964, the Leicaflex was launched onto the market as an additional model line. The new R-System was aimed at a contrary area of application compared to the already well-established Leica-M.
This product range, which has been continuously improved over 45 years, always impressed with its superb manufacturing quality and a wide selection of first-class lenses. Nevertheless, Leica decided to finally discontinue the reflex system in 2009.
Nowadays the Leica R-System offers an attractively priced entry into the world of analog Leica photography.
